This is a concept I’ve been playing around with for a while. I wanted to depict the ongoing battle between Western and Eastern civilization and culture in an art piece. I did 3 or 4 variants of this, and I eventually want to paint a final version on my bedroom wall. This one pictured is the most complete of all the variations.

A lot of my current drawings have been very freeform, spur of the moment line work. I’d usually start off with a familiar focal point in my art (teeth) and lead off into stream of consciousness shapes, lines, and sometimes even words. I was having a rough day, not being able to complete a set of lyrics that have been floating around for weeks, and scribbled the phrase I’M NOT AN ARTIST down on a piece of paper. I worked it in.

As you can see, buildings and monuments are appearing more and more into my stream of consciousness pieces. I really do need to lay off all the capitalism and big business documentaries.

BREAKFAST INVASION
I lost track at how many variants of this piece I made; one even in color. It all started with my realization that flying saucers look like eggs if you have really unsteady hands. However, food has always been prominent in my work.
